Stories of the manor
Johku Kartano was built on the bank of the Johku River at a time when the river was the villages' main route. The house has been a farm, a gathering place for the villagers and a summer villa, and each era has left something behind: the tiled stove in the hall, the old birches in the yard and the letters in the attic.
Helena tells the stories during dinner. Some are written in the manor's papers, some have passed from mouth to mouth in the neighbouring villages.
The manor grounds are private, and guests come to dinner through Johku Resort.
This is a Johku demo website. The manor, its history and the people are fictional.
